Any matter that concerns claiming insurance benefits always come with a trail of controversies, most cases like family auto insurance or a cheap car insurance for students, the insurance company that will make all the possible moves to reduce the costs they have to bear for any loss that has happened. The customer is entitles to receive professional service, this should not be compromised for any reason; it is your right as a customer.

However there are reasons why a claim might be rejected by the insurance company, it is important for the customer to know these reasons and avoid them, they are:

False documentation and information

A claim might be rejected if false information is discovered in the clients documents that the company has in its possession, also any falsified documents that are discovered will lead to a rejection.

Non adherence to the terms and conditions

If the insurance company finds the client lacking in terms of adherence to terms and conditions in a situation involving family auto insurance, the claim might be rejected by the insurance company.

A proper cross check of the auto insurance terms should be done by the client when the documents are being completed and before buying auto insurance, the insurance company must make the client understand every aspect of the terms and conditions of service whilst offering the best insurance rates.

There are steps to take when addressing any rejected claims by the insurance company; a proper preparation is required on the part of the client filing for a dispute. The preparation should follow these steps:

Cross checking documentation

All the documentation for the family auto insurance should be cross checked to make sure they are in order. The highlights from the terms and conditions that pertain to the claim should be noted down, any clause that is just realized should also be noted, as this will be an edge in the client’s case, the insurance company will be held liable for any aspect of the insurance that was not clearly explained to the client.

No claim can be rejected when all the terms and conditions have been obeyed, if the client can prove this, the insurance company will cave in to the demands.

Initiating the complaint

The first step to take is to write a formal letter to the insurance company, if it was exotic car insurance it should be specified for the proper attention to be given. Attached to this letter will be all evidence to prove the authenticity of this complaint, enough to get the attention of the insurance company. A review of the insurance company’s response will be provided to ensure all partied are on the same page as regards the situation.

After contacting the insurance company, a response will be given, this response will ultimately decide the next course of action, and a situation where the insurance company refuses to give in to the claims might result in the involvement of the insurance commissioner in a bid to finally resolve the dispute.

Any proven case of malpractice on the part of the insurance company can lead to the imposing of fines, suspending the company’s insurance license and other penalties.
