Everywhere you look, you see announcements, signs, banners, and flashing lights promoting a temporary lowering of the cost for just about everything. Whatever, except for life insurance, that is. As I was investigating this subject, I took a minute to Google “life insurance coverage sale” to see what would show up. Here is what I discovered when I put quotes around the words “life insurance sale” and after that hit the search button: nothing. Absolutely nothing about a sale, that is. I saw short articles about selling life insurance, and sales of life insurance coverage, however nothing like “November is yearly buy-one-get-one-free month at National Life of Peoria!”
So, why do we never see a sale on life insurance? There are a number of factors for this. One is that carriers will just decrease the cost when they wish to be more competitive, and leave it that way until they decide to alter it again. It actually is that easy.
